News & Reflections
Last week, Luminary Leadership: How Top Entrepreneurs Lead in Business and in Life, the book I coauthored several months ago, made it to the USA Today and Amazon Bestseller lists.
It’s very exciting news. Many of the authors who co-wrote Luminary Leadership are public speakers. Making a bestseller list can often double the speaking fees. While I have no desire to become a public speaker, I do want to write more books. From now on, I will be able to leverage my USA Today bestseller status on any book I write in the future.
There was another reason this project appealed to me so much. For now, the book is only available in eBook format. In the first half of 2023, it will be released in softcover and distributed by Simon & Schuster.
I used to work at Simon & Schuster 20 years ago. It was my second professional job, and out of all the corporate jobs I have ever had, it was my favorite. I loved working in publishing. It may not be the most profitable industry, but it’s so much fun. I could not miss an opportunity to be listed as an author in Simon & Schuster’s catalog.

Congrats! I just found out that the Simon of Simon & Schuster is Carly Simon's (the singer) father!
